I created a closed page for the Women of Heart group on Facebook. Only members will see postings to protect the privacy of those we serve.

This page will be the same information as the emails that I send.

If you would like to become a member, please click “join group” once you find it on Facebook.

Thank you,

Nicole

Ladies,

At Calvary our missions group often sends packages to our missionaries through out the year. We are sending a special care package to my sister Danielle. For those of you that don’t know her, she has been a missionary in Japan for a couple of years. This past December she got married and then got pregnant in the blink of an eye! Shortly thereafter she found out she was pregnant with twins. At six weeks she started getting very sick and then at nine weeks she began to bleed. Fast forward – she is 16 weeks pregnant now and remains on bed rest but is out of the hospital. A great deal of the amniotic fluid has leaked but at her appointment yesterday, the ultrasound shows an increase in fluid for baby A.

As you can imagine, she becomes discouraged and feels isolated although she knows the Lord is with them every step of the way. Being so far away from her, is difficult for the whole family.

If you would like to send her a card for encouragement, please put it in the office drop box and make sure to put her name on the front of the envelope – Danielle Moore. The office drop box is located in the main lobby next to the information desk.

I’ll be collecting them until next Thursday, May 24th.

We appreciate your prayers. If you are interested in the details and further updates, she has started a blog. Click here to access.

Thank you,

Nicole

Tekla is one of the elderly ladies that we’ve been helping. She needs a ride tomorrow morning at 8:35. She lives near 16th Street North and 30th Avenue and needs to be driven to Park Blvd and 66th Street. She has already arranged for someone else to pick her up when her appointment is over. If you are available and would like to help Tekla, please reply.

One of the ladies from Calvary is recovering from surgery and has requested help with household chores. She lives just south of the church in Pinellas Park. Her primary need is with clothing – laundry, washing, drying, folding and hanging things up.

The time and day are very flexible.

Thank you,

Nicole

The Men of Arms ministry has helped a couple in our church recently, Cindy and Robert Guthrie. Hard flooring will be needed to accommodate Robert’s disability. This couple is preparing to move into this home in a few weeks. I am looking for a team of ladies that would be willing to go in and wipe down the counter tops and window sills along with using a swiffer on the floors. Please reply if you are interested in helping.

The home is in Largo near Bryan Dairy and Starkey. This Friday we will work from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm.

I will be coming from the church office. If you are able to come, we could meet there before hand.

Thank you,

Nicole

Good Evening Ladies,

There are a few requests coming your way. The first is from the Wilda family. Their home was flooded and as they try to clean up the mess, two dinners would be helpful (Tuesday and Wednesday night). Please click here to see their meal schedule. They live in Largo off of Indian Rocks Road and Vonn Road.

Thank you,

Nicole

Good Evening Ladies,

Because Merilyn and Pastor Viv returned home earlier than they had planned, we are trying to help them with a few needs besides meals. Right now their daughter is not there so we are trying to help with as much as possible and they are so appreciative.

I have used different software that creates an entire calendar to show ALL the needs at one place. It appears to be easy to use, once you sign up to be part of our “community”.

* We are looking for people that would be willing to help them with a few household chores (dusting, wiping down the kitchen and bathroom, etc.)

* Picking up Pastor Viv and taking him to a nearby park for a walk.

* Driving Merilyn to the grocery store to pick up a few items.

There is a link below that will take you to this site. You have to sign up on this site in order to receive notifications (sorry). Click where it says “Interested in becoming a member of this community”

Click here to see the site.

Thank you,

Nicole
